Schumann porcelain was known for its fine craftsmanship and translucence. Carl Shumann founded the Shumann Bavaria factory in 1882 in Arzberg, Bavaria. Schumann produced high-quality porcelain tableware and decorative items, often featuring intricate designs and patterns. The company was family-owned and operated until 1994 when it closed. The "heirloom blue" pattern was discontinued in 1961.
